We have worked with Jason for several years over different projects and would recommend Aurora to other businesses. The tailored service and guiding hand make Aurora a pleasure to deal with.A little about us
Design, development and plenty in between
Aurora is a small creative studio based in the Scottish Highlands, run by Tim Davis and Jason Coates. We've been working with businesses and organisations since 2005, bringing together graphic design, web development, photography and video.
We have different strengths, but there's plenty of overlap between the creative and technical sides of what we do. That combination allows us to approach projects from different perspectives, explore ideas properly and develop solutions that are as practical as they are creative.
A more personal approach
Straightforward conversations, no middlemen
Being a small studio means you'll deal directly with the people actually doing the work. There are no account managers or complicated chains of communication, just straightforward conversations with people who know their subject.
We enjoy getting to know the businesses we work with. Some projects begin with a clear brief, while others start with little more than an idea or a problem that needs solving. Either way, we'll offer our thoughts, ask the right questions and work with you to find a sensible way forward.
Over the years, we've built lasting relationships with clients across a wide range of industries. We like to think that's as much about being approachable, dependable and easy to work with as it is about the quality of the finished work.

Different strengths, plenty of overlap
We're the two people behind Aurora, bringing together complementary skills in graphic design, web development, photography and video. Between us, we look after everything from the first creative ideas to the technical details that bring a project together. And because we're a small studio, you'll be working directly with us throughout.

Jason and Tim's inventive approach turned what was originally a "website for the sake of a website" into a central feature in the day-to-day running of our company. It is now a key marketing tool, information resource and e-commerce portal. Our online presence and overall image have been enhanced considerably. They are innovative and reliable designers and the resulting product does not disappoint.Duncan Macleod, SWL International
